Since getting to our venue is a little unusual (both for people who have been in the past, and for people who haven’t), we wanted to send written instructions for you to have on hand for our big day. The biggest thing for you to be aware of is that you will not use the main Red Butte entrance on Wakara Way to get to the ceremony and reception. This means the address on our invitations is wrong. Instead, you will need to enter through a side entrance on Red Butte Canyon Road, next to the horticulture building at 2190 Red Butte Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84113. There will be a large parking lot for you to use. If you are using a car service like Uber or Lyft, you are looking to be dropped off near the ticket stand above the parking lot. Everyone needs to make their way to the ticket stand. From there, there will be Red Butte staff waiting to take you to the venue location. They have shuttles to drive everyone, but you are also welcome to walk if you would like. Note: On your way to the parking lot, you may come across a gate with a Red Butte attendant. If so, tell them you are here for the Chinchilla/Weaver wedding, and they should help guide you to where you need to go. We are hoping to begin the ceremony at 3:30, so please arrive around 3 to be seated. In the ceremony location, the first rows of chairs will be marked “Reserved” for immediate family and wedding parties, but all other seats will be open for you to sit as you like. Following the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour in the Walled Garden, then move to have dinner in the Rose House proper at 5.

Alfonso and Celeste met through several classes in high school, but became closest after taking a chemistry class together summer of junior year (that had to be fate, right??). They dated long distance while Celeste went to school in Washington State and Alfonso went to school in Southern Utah. After graduating, Celeste moved to Arkansas for work, and Alfonso moved to Arkansas the following year once he graduated. They currently live together with their two cats, Link and Zelda, in Fayetteville Arkansas. In their free time, they play saxophone/guitar, engage in video games, and exercise by bouldering and running. ~Celeste is a Clinical Engineer assisting with maintaining and installing medical equipment ~Alfonso works as a technician in a water quality lab while he works on his masters degree ~The cats were adopted after Celeste got back from a work trip in July 2023. They were 3 months old when adopted and are now almost 2 years old.
