In the fall of 2021, Justin and Ellie were at different, yet very similar chapters of their lives. While Justin had sworn off love and decided he wanted the company of a dog instead, Ellie was in her senior year of college, also not looking for love. So, during Justin's search of a puppy is where he found so much more... Ellie’s college friend just had a litter of puppies and also previously knew Justin, telling Ellie how sweet and down to earth he was. Her friend took it upon herself to message him, asking if he was “single and ready to mingle.” Very cautiously he responded, “I am not really looking, but why not?!” After that, the two began messaging each other and planned a date to go to the insane asylum in Weston. Let it be noted that Ellie does not enjoy scary movies, let alone a haunted house. But she formulated a plan where if the date went well, she would use her fear as an excuse to grab his arm. From the time they first met in person, conversation was easy and it felt like they had known each other for years. Laughter and sparks began to fly during that first dinner. Oh, and if you were wondering, Ellie did get her chance to grab Justin’s arm during the insane asylum tour… which Justin did not mind one bit. A few weeks later, Justin and Ellie made a trip to Blackwater falls and there is where he asked her to be his girlfriend. Foreshadowing to two years later when he would take her to that same spot and ask her to spend the rest of her life by his side. Jumping, crying, and screaming with joy, she quickly said yes! Now is the chance we can all come together and celebrate Justin and Ellie as they will become one and kick off their happily ever after!
