For guests traveling from abroad or other parts of Europe, Shannon Airport (SNN) is the most convenient airport for our wedding in the west of Ireland. Located right on Ireland’s Atlantic coast, Shannon offers a relaxed arrival experience and puts you close to some of the country’s most beautiful scenery. Shannon has direct flights from Newark, JFK and other major cities, and it’s significantly smaller and easier to navigate than Dublin Airport. From Shannon, you’ll be within easy driving distance of our wedding venue, about 90 minutes. You can also find charming towns, coastal views, and iconic Irish landscapes along the Wild Atlantic Way. Rental cars are readily available at the airport, and driving in the west of Ireland is part of the adventure—think rolling green hills, stone walls, and seaside roads. If you’re planning to explore before or after the wedding, Shannon is an ideal starting point. We can’t wait to welcome you to Ireland and are so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate with us!

Dublin Airport (DUB) is Ireland’s largest international airport and a popular entry point for our wedding in the west of Ireland. From Dublin, the west of Ireland is 3-hour scenic journey by car, with modern motorways for much of the drive before opening up into rolling countryside, charming towns, and classic Irish landscapes. Rental cars are readily available at the airport, and driving gives you the flexibility to explore along the way—or before and after the wedding. While Dublin Airport is busier than other regional airports, it’s well-organized and clearly marked. If you’re planning to spend a night or two in Dublin, it’s a great chance to experience the city’s pubs, history, and culture before heading west.
