Although they had overlapping groups of friends, they did not cross paths until the winter of 2011. After their initial introduction, they did not have a second chance meeting until one night in May 2012. John crawled into a window (at a mutual friends house) and Chelsea happened to be sleeping on the couch underneath. The next day, they went to Lake Calhoun to enjoy the beautiful spring day and play frisbee. While they were getting to know one another, the conversation turned to their mutual love and passion for food. This started a good-hearted, quick-fire round of questions. Chelsea thought she could stump John with a question very few could answer. "What are the five mother sauces in Classic French Cooking?" To her amazement, he responded with, " Tomato, Veloutte, Béchamel, Espagnole and Hollandaise" Needless to say, Chelsea was impressed and quite smitten and the feeling was mutual. That was seven years ago, and they have been by each other’s sides ever since…and now forever!
