Brisa and I met in the year 2016, when my family moved to the Coronado congregation to help with the Arabic pre-group. Although Brisa was in a different congregation our friend groups intermingled often, and we ended up spending many days at friends houses, and in the ministry together. When Brisa's father passed away in 2017 and then my father in 2018, we momentarily became caught in taking care of our families, so we didn't see each other for a while. Then the pandemic happened and our friend groups started doing things together again, this time through zoom, and other means of virtual association. We would go in service, play games, and just hang out with our friends. It was during this time that Brisa and I started to grow closer, and eventually we realized that we liked each other. From there the rest is history!
Brisa and I have a special number, 16, this number became special to us because it was our order number one time when we went to Whataburger. (Cheesy I know, lol) Brisa jokingly said 16 is gonna be special from now on, and I decided to go with it. So, with that in mind, I planned to propose on the 16th of July. I wanted it to be special and a surprise, so I decided to tell her I was going to propose at the end of the month, closer to the date we officially started dating.
