Cecy and Mauri’s story is one of those “meant to be” moments that somehow took its time. They went to the same high school, are the same age, and shared mutual friends, yet never crossed paths or even knew the other existed. Years later, fate stepped in through a mutual friend, who also happens to be Cecy's brother. Ronee and Mauri worked together and became friends, which eventually led to Cecy and Mauri meeting for the first time at a friend’s birthday party. What started as a friendship quickly turned into something more. Eventually, Mauri decided to take a chance and tell Cecy how he felt. Their first outing together was a group Dodgers game, where they shared their first kiss at Angel City Brewery. From that day on, they were inseparable. They spent their time making memories, attending games, exploring breweries, and enjoying countless trips to Disneyland. It didn’t take long for them to realize they had found something special. In fact, Mauri said “I love you” just a few weeks in and Cecy felt the same. After three wonderful years together, Mauri popped the question.
