Allagash White is an OG and a must try. They have a lot of fun sours too! A little out of downtown but worth the drive
If you like IPAs this is a must. One of the more popular breweries in New England
We found this gem the same day we went up to see A Barn...maybe getting the sentimental nod, but the beers are great and the outdoor space is fun. Also it is across the street from Allagash. (Cheese served separately)
This spot is a little bit of a drive up to Freeport, but they have some of the best IPAs out there.
These beers are just funky and fun. If you are looking to switch up the typical brewery that just serves IPA after IPA (no knock on that) this is your spot.
This place rocks. If you like kombucha (booch) you gotta check this place out. A bunch of hard booch on tap.
This is quickly becoming one of our favorite breweries. They have such a wonderful variety and they are all very tasty.
Amazing cocktails.
Farm to table plates. One of our favorite restaurants
If you like sushi, and you only go one place on this list, make this the place. THE BEST TUNA YOU WILL HAVE. MADE IT ALL CAPS TO CONVEY OUR ENTHUSIASM. DO IT.
One word. Poutine.
Fun asian fusion place.
Incredible lobster rolls (hot is the only way to go) and other classic New England dishes!
Amazing small plates. This was the first restaurant we went to in Portland.
Fancy and exotic hot dogs and sausages with a great beer list!
20 Minute ferry ride from Portland. A quaint island with restaurants serving fresh seafood. You can also rent a golf cart to bop around the island.
Screams quintessential New England with cobblestone roads and red brick buildings. A bunch of boutiques and restaurants
Picturesque lighthouse!
