Things To Do

Portland has become one of our favorite cities. There are so many great places to grab a bite and drink. The breakdown is below! If eating and drinking your way through Portland isn't the vibe you are looking for, there is still plenty to do! We have included some fun activities as well!

Allagash Brewing Company

50 Industrial Way, Portland, ME 04103
, (207) 878-5385

Allagash White is an OG and a must try. They have a lot of fun sours too! A little out of downtown but worth the drive

Bissell Brothers Brewing Company

38 Resurgam Place, Portland, ME 04102
, (207) 808-8258

If you like IPAs this is a must. One of the more popular breweries in New England

Definitive Brewing Company

35 Industrial Way, Portland, ME 04103
, (207) 536-1288

We found this gem the same day we went up to see A Barn...maybe getting the sentimental nod, but the beers are great and the outdoor space is fun. Also it is across the street from Allagash. (Cheese served separately)

Maine Beer Company

525 U.S. 1, Freeport, ME 04032
, (207) 221-5711

This spot is a little bit of a drive up to Freeport, but they have some of the best IPAs out there.

Oxbow Blending & Bottling

49 Washington Avenue, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 350-0025

These beers are just funky and fun. If you are looking to switch up the typical brewery that just serves IPA after IPA (no knock on that) this is your spot.

Urban Farm Fermentory & Gruit Brewing Co.

200 Anderson Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 468-2639

This place rocks. If you like kombucha (booch) you gotta check this place out. A bunch of hard booch on tap.

Fore River Brewing Company

45 Huntress Avenue, South Portland, ME 04106
, (207) 370-0629

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite breweries. They have such a wonderful variety and they are all very tasty.

Sagamore Hill Lounge

150 Park Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 808-8622

Amazing cocktails.

Broken Arrow

545 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 808-8938

Farm to table plates. One of our favorite restaurants

Mr. Tuna

28 Monument Square, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 805-1240

If you like sushi, and you only go one place on this list, make this the place. THE BEST TUNA YOU WILL HAVE. MADE IT ALL CAPS TO CONVEY OUR ENTHUSIASM. DO IT.

Duckfat

43 Middle Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 774-8080

One word. Poutine.

The Honey Paw

78 Middle Street, Portland, ME 04101

Fun asian fusion place.

The Highroller Lobster Co.

104 Exchange Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 536-1623

Incredible lobster rolls (hot is the only way to go) and other classic New England dishes!

Central Provisions

Amazing small plates. This was the first restaurant we went to in Portland.

The Thirsty Pig

37 Exchange Street, Portland, ME 04101
, (207) 773-2469

Fancy and exotic hot dogs and sausages with a great beer list!

Activity- Take the ferry to Peaks Island

20 Minute ferry ride from Portland. A quaint island with restaurants serving fresh seafood. You can also rent a golf cart to bop around the island.

Activity- walk around Old Port

Screams quintessential New England with cobblestone roads and red brick buildings. A bunch of boutiques and restaurants

Bug Light

South Portland Greenbelt Pathway, South Portland, ME 04106
, (207) 767-7670

For all the days along the way
