Question

I'm traveling from out of town; how should I get there?

Answer

We recommend you fly into Paris and spend at least a day in the city of love (see our Things to Do recommendations page)! From there, you can either schedule a private car service, rent a car, or take the train. The train station (Gare de l'Est) is inconvenient from the airport and does require you to come into the city of Paris, so make sure you plan for that when you book your arrangements. The train from Paris to Reims is quick - only about 45 minutes. Reims Ville is a better train station for exploring the main city and Chalons-en-Champagne is more convenient to the location of the venue and a smaller town.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is black tie optional. In the spirit of Parisian elegance, we hope guests will have fun with their attire - sparkles, feathers, fanciful and fun encouraged! Bring the drama ;)

Question

Is everything in the same location?

Answer

All main wedding events (welcome dinner, ceremony, dinner/reception) will be held at the Chateau. We are also organizing several group winery tours - these will be both smaller local options and large more commercial (e.g., Veuve) operations. More details to come as we finalize timings.

Question

Are children welcome at the event?

Answer

We love your little ones but have decided to make our wedding an adults only celebration. Our planner is organizing local childcare services. If you are interested in these accommodations, please reach out to us directly to coordinate.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have provided two hotels in close proximity to the venue on our Travel and Hotel page. If you wish to stay in a larger city; Reims has many hotels options and is located about 40 minutes from the venue by car. There are also many lovely airbnbs in both locations.

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Our hope is to have the ceremony and reception outside. Reims weather in June is typically mild to warm with average daily highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. In the event of heavy rains/cold, we may shift events into the Chateau or heated tent. Fingers crossed for sunshine!
