I first met Nilton driving down i10 and I noticed a man pulled over to help pick a box of abandoned puppies and from there it was love at first sight… is what I like to say but in reality I was new mom, single and straight out of pandemic. I decided to download a couple of dating sites to get my feet wet. That’s when I saw a man shot gunning a beer on a porch with with Santa hat on and and I said let me swipe right. Nilton was and is the only man I’ve trusted with my heart, with my daughter and with my life since that day. We moved moved fast, we bought a home, had a beautiful baby boy and began our life. I’ve seen Nilton grow and face challenges. I’ve been by his side and he’s been by mine. 3 long years later he decided to ask me to marry him. At first I thought he was going to tell me we were either moving to Taunton, MA or opening up a Taunton Eagles in El Paso. Thank God he got down on one knee. Life has always thrown things at us but as long as he gives me his hand I’ll give him forever.
