Our Story

9.28.08

We both met at church during our catechism class. We both went to different schools so church was the only time we really saw each other. There are these white benches right outside the church where we would sit and talk. It's funny because there wasn't really an official "will you go out with me." It was just assumed. From there we were doing "long distance." We were high schoolers still asking permission to leave the house. All through high school we did everything we could to see each other. Even if it were for a brief moment we would meet up. Bus, skateboard, running, or car. It didn't matter as long as we saw each other. Fast forward to after high school and the distance became even further. Jeffrey was in Japan during his time in the military and Ceci was still back at home working on becoming a nurse. 4 more years of being away from each other definitely was not the easiest. We strived and pushed through and finally Jeffrey parted with the military and was able to be with Ceci back at home. More years pass and our relationship grew stronger and stronger. Now here we are about to finally get married!!

The Proposal

9.30.22

From Jeffrey's perspective It started with a plan to celebrate our anniversary in Temecula. I had the help of one my closest friends plan this time where both Ceci and I had the time to celebrate. The meeting spot was at this white tent on a hill near our venue. The morning was chilly, but we had each other to hold until we both got into the van to go to spot where the balloons were being inflated. I've been hiding the ring in my hidden pocket in my jacket, holding onto it so I know I wouldn't lose it. The whole ride I was thinking of what to say and how to pop the question. An hour or so passed and we finally touchdown to the landing zone. We hop out the basket and mimosas were being prepared, came with the hot air balloon deal. While all this was happening I grabbed Ceci's hand, went next to the van, found a nice spot without thorns, and asked her to marry me. She said yes, obviously, and I almost put the ring on the wrong finger I was so nervous. Here we are now getting married and our story together will forever continue.

For all the days along the way
