The connection of how I (Amy, obviously) met Anthony, is through his sister in law, Ali. Ali and I played lacrosse together at Jacksonville University (Go Dolphins) and when I moved back to Annapolis in 2017 her and I got very close and also with her husband Alex, Anthony's older brother. I became good friends with all 3 of the Pagnotta brothers. When I first met Ant I didn't think I liked him I thought he was kind of a jerk but eventually realized he was not a jerk and a very good guy. Fast forward to November 2020, Anthony finally had the courage to ask me out on a date. If you ask him he'll tell you I blew him off on our first date which is a lie. Don't believe him. On December 5, 2020 he then asked if I would be his girlfriend so I said "sure, here goes nothing".

It was the Saturday before the 4th of July and we were in Ocean City MD staying at Anthony's parents beach house for the week. We were there with all of Anthony's siblings, some of his cousins and his grandparents. We were doing a little day drinking enjoying everyone's company - having a great time! Then at around 3:30 Anthony ordered me to "get ready for the night". There was a lot of people staying at the house and his reasoning was "there's a 1000 people staying here we need to be considerate and shower now so then others can shower". Me(Amy) being annoyed that I was being told what to do was fighting this entire shower and get ready thing. Begrudgingly, I decided to get ready for the night, then I ask Anthony what I should wear. He says "we're going for a boat ride so look nice". So then I show him some options he says "try and match me". I start yelling saying "this is getting ridiculous, why do we need to match? We have literally never matched before". Mind you, earlier that day we were wearing matching Morgan Wallen T Shirts... So I get ready, I'm absolutely pissed. I get on the boat I'm the only one ready with the exception of Anthony. No one is talking to me on the boat because I have resting bitch face and nor should I talk to anyone as I was SUPER annoyed to be in a flowy dress on a speeding boat. We get back to the house and everyone quickly jumps off the boat. Anthony asks me to hang back for a second on the dock (me thinking he's going to apologize for having me get ready) mind you its now maybe 4:15. He looks at me on the dock and says "this would be a great time for a fake proposal". Anthony loved to fake propose to me especially when his Gram is around as he likes to torture her. He would loop me in when he was doing it, except for the first one (feel free to ask me about this). So he gets on one knee with his brother, Alex's wedding band to fake propose. I'm still annoyed I'm the only one looking fancy and just need another beverage. I start to walk away and tell him to stop as I'm saying this he pulls me in for a hug swaps his brother's wedding band for a little black ring box. He gets down on one knee again to which I replied "get the f*ck away from me" as I'm still thinking it's a fake proposal. To this day I'm not sure If I said yes or not. But I think that's payback for all the fake proposals. After I said yes, I turned around to our closest friends and family behind us!
