FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your wedding invite will indicate if you have a plus one. If you need to know sooner/still aren't sure, feel free to reach out to the bride or groom directly.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Although we absolutely love your kids, we kindly ask you to please not bring them to any of the scheduled wedding events. We are working with the hotel to ensure sitters will be available for parents to reserve. More info to come.

Question

Can I book more than one hotel room at Quinta da Pacheca?

Answer

Pacheca is a boutique hotel. It has limited capacity and we want to ensure the majority of guests are able to stay there (you do not want to miss out on this hotel). As of now, each invite/couple may reserve one hotel room. Closer to the wedding, we will let you know if there is additional availability. Pacheca is also close to the "largest" city in the Douro Valley. There will be alternative hotels, in Lamego and Regua, that you may book.

Question

What are the travel requirements for Portugal?

Answer

You must have a passport that is valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date. US travelers must also get ETIAS authorization prior to travel. This is something they recently started but should be fairly straight forward, we will share more info as the date approaches. No visa or special vaccines are required.

Question

How do I get from the airport to Porto / the venue?

Answer

Ubers and taxis are widely available in Portugal to get around. We will also organize transport for those who arrive on time from the hotel in Porto to Quinta da Pacheca, as well as, back to the Porto airport.

Question

Can I stay longer at Quinta da Pacheca?

Answer

Absolutely! The Douro Valley has so much to offer so we recommend staying an extra day or two. You can also explore other parts of Portugal/Europe on your trip. Just contact the hotel about the extra days you wish to stay.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

It is a bit of both. For ladies, we strongly suggest not wearing stilettos in Porto or the Douro Valley. Also, the wedding venue is the hotel so if you forget something, you can just run to your room.
