Downtown Traverse City
There's so much to do in Traverse City's walkable downtown! We recommend Mama Lou's or the Pie Company for lunch, Cherry Republic for cherry-flavored souvenirs, and Horizon Books if you need to get lost in a bookstore.
West End Beach
Located right across from our wedding reception venue, West End Beach is easily accessible and provides a great spot to jump in the lake or stay dry and admire the sunset!
Sleeping Bear Dunes
A beautiful 30-minute drive from Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has the most beautiful beaches and hiking trails. Go for a hike along the bluffs, climb up (and sled back down) the massive sand dunes, or take a swim. Wrap up your visit with a trip to nearby Glen Arbor and a visit to the original Cherry Republic store.
Chateau Chantal Winery and Inn
Traverse City is known for its wineries! Take a drive up Old Mission Peninsula to enjoy wine tastings plus beautiful views of both bays.
Farmers Market
A downtown staple! Open Saturday mornings from 7:30 am - 12:00 pm. Make sure to get an apricot croissant from the Nine Bean Row bakery stall!
Mission Point Lighthouse
Take a beautiful drive up Old Mission Peninsula to visit this historic lighthouse! The lighthouse is surrounded by hiking trails and a great beach for swimming.
