Does Stanley have a grocery store?

Yes! The Mountain Village Mercantile is right next to the gas station and across from the Mountain Village Resort, where SH-75 and SH-21 meet: 275 Eva Falls Ave Stanley, Idaho 83278. Stop by the Mercantile if you need to stock up on groceries for your kitchen or kitchenette, or you want to get supplied with snacks and drinks for a day adventure. The Mercantile also has toiletries and emergency necessities.

What clothes should I pack for the weekend?
Answer
Layers! Mountain weather could bring us anything in September. Sun protection, breezy clothes, sweaters and comfortable shoes for uneven ground are recommended for daytime activities. Festive, cocktail attire is encouraged for the welcome party, wedding ceremony and reception. Warm clothing is recommended for the evening and morning times-- warm socks, beanies, scarves and down jackets will keep you warm. Check the weather report for chance of rain and snow. We recommend Wunderground. Average temperatures for September 20th in Stanley include a high of 67.8 degrees and low of 25 degrees.

Will I have cell service in Stanley?
Answer
Cell service in and around Stanley can be spotty. While the areas surrounding town experience intermittent coverage, most carriers provide uninterrupted cell service in town/city limits. Verizon offers the most reliable cell service in Stanley. Internet is available at the Stanley Community Library, in addition to all of the recommended accommodations and restaurants.

We highly recommend Papa Brunees Pizza & Subs-- they also have salads! Their range of menu options include gluten free pizzas, vegan cheese and tasty drinks in cans and on tap. Plus, their vegetables are fresh! For coffee, breakfast and lunch, you might try the express line at the Stanley Baking Company & Cafe. Also, the Peaks & Perks coffee shack between Riverwear and the Mountain Village Resort offers bagels and coffee drinks.
