How We Met

What Had Happened Was

April 6th, 2018. I had just been to a Colony House concert with some of my close friends. After the concert, we decided to grab food and Jordan told us that she was going bowling with some friends from her mission trip that she just gotten back from. We decided to go and that last minute bowling night would be the night that I met my future wife. We were kind of awkward around each other at first, but eventually started talking about her purple hair and it went on from there. Although I met her that night, I was too shy to ask for her number. Fast forward to the next week, we got put into a group text where I saved her number and decided to make a move and added her on Snapchat. I ended up snapping her and told her to go to the movies with me and some friends. After the movie, we went to McDonalds and it hit me that this Bailey girl was a freaking babe. While we were eating, I randomly asked each person in the group who they were crushing hoping Bailey would say hers was me. She played it cool and said no one so I did too. I was nervous no doubt. Then, we spontaneously decided to go drive around just us and jam to music because that was something we had in common. Ever since that night, the calling to pursue was there and I'll never stop pursuing her. -Jorge

The BIG Move

When I said YAS

October 6th, 2018. He told me we were going to spend the whole Saturday together from sunrise on. I didn't think anything of it because we hadn't seen each other much the week before so I knew we wanted time together. We drove to Artist Point to watch the sunrise with friends and went to Arsagas to eat breakfast after. I went to take a nap (because I don't normally wake up before dawn) and then we got ready to go back-roading because he had just gotten a new car. We grabbed some fast food and went exploring. We just talked about life and how we are so excited for our future together and that one day we would get engaged and then married (I still had NO clue that today would be that day lol). We go get him a haircut then he drops me off to get ready for a "super nice dinner date." He told me to wear his favorite dress that I wear and that's when I realized "okay, something is different." He comes to pick me up and tells me that he wants to pray for us in my apartment before we leave. When he walked in, I knew by the way he looked at me that we were about to get engaged. He began to pray for us and just talked about our future together and started tearing up (it was the sweetest thing). We left from there and he wouldn't tell me where we were going, but then we showed up to the most beautiful overlook I've ever seen. He opened my door and we walked down to the perfect little set up. He starts reading verses in the Bible that explained how a husband should treat his wife. He proceeded to read a page-long note that he had written. The tears were rolling at this point. He gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said yes to the best man and our friends met us after. We went to dinner with just our families (they met for the first time), then had a party with all of our loved ones and had so much fun the entire night. We are so grateful for God's hand in all of this and couldn't be more excited for this journey. -Bailey
