What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), which is about a 1 hour drive from Morganton and typically offers the most flight options. Other nearby airports include: • Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) – about 1 hour away • Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) – about 2 hours away Rental cars are recommended, as rideshare services can be limited in the Morganton area.

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have a room block at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Morganton Historic Downtown for our guests and would love to have everyone close by for the weekend festivities! Another nearby option we recommend is the Hampton Inn Morganton. We recommend booking early, especially if you plan to stay through the weekend or make a mountain getaway out of it.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle service running from 3:00 PM until the end of the evening to transport guests to and from the venue. The shuttle will pick up and drop off guests at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Morganton Historic Downtown, where our room block is located. Guests are welcome to drive, but we strongly encourage using the shuttle—especially if you plan to enjoy a drink or two. The venue is located up the mountain, and the drive can be steep and winding, particularly after dark. We want everyone to relax, celebrate, and get back safely!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends! However, due to venue limitations, we kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend. Thanks for understanding!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding will be a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. May in North Carolina should be warm and beautiful, but mountain evenings can cool off a bit, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or layer just in case. Please note that some areas of the venue include gravel, grass, and uneven ground, so plan footwear accordingly!

What time should I arrive?

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, shuttle drop-off, and getting settled before we say “I do”!
