If your question is "But do they even have a Rothko?" YES WE DO. Mark Rothko's "Green, Red, Blue" (1955) hangs in the MAM as part of the Bradley Collection. There's lots of other cool stuff, too, like Ancient Egyptian relics. Which probably explains a lot. Maybe we should look into returning those.
Great option if you have kiddos with you - if you don't have kids with you, tag along with someone that does so you're not the weird adult going to a children's museum sans children. Been there - it's awkward, but I'd do it again. The Great Lakes Aquarium is gorgeous (and filled with sturgeon!) complete with a touch tank, and there's a giant topographical map of the Great Lakes with a thunderstorm simulator that will rock your friggin socks off!
This is one of our favorite spots (yup, even as "locals"). Grab some fried clams and a few fresh oysters at St. Paul's or belly up to the bar at Foltz's for a huge panini or a homemade sausage (and say hello to Shea if she's working). Always tip your bartenders and be patient if they're crazy busy!
A Milwaukee Institution! Grab a brew and book a tour to see how the magic is made. Also grab some cheese curds because Lakefront truly does them the right way.
Harley Davidson is headquartered right here in Milwaukee, right in our neighborhood! Their 20-acre campus is just to the Northwest of our apartment (and our reception venue) and is a really cool glimpse into Harley's storied history.
