Eric and I lived in different states, but were set up by a mutual friend. We started texting and talking on the phone while he lived in Michigan and I lived in Ohio. We decided to meet in person about a month after we began talking, so Eric flew to Cincinnati in October of 2016 to meet me. We began dating, and in December of 2016 I drove to Alpena, Michigan to spend an early Christmas with Eric and meet his family. We did long distance until February of 2017 when Eric moved to Cincinnati. We had our first baby boy, Bryson, in January 2018 and got engaged later that year in August!

We went to Mackinac Island with Eric's family. Before we were about to leave, Eric suggested we take a walk down by the water...alone. There was a perfect view of the Mackinac Bridge in the distance. As we were walking, I could tell something was up. Eric seemed VERY nervous, which isn't like him at all. He then started to tell me how much he loved me, and got on one knee and proposed! There was a group of teenagers swimming in the water nearby and they started cheering! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Alpena!
