It all started with a classic "set up!" Chris Salih talked to me at church one Sunday about two years ago, telling me there was a guy he thought I might be interested in meeting. To be honest, I probably rolled my eyes since I had been through a few "not so great" set-ups in the past. He began to tell me about Ryan and I was actually intrigued, so I agreed to meet him. We met at Rockmill Brewery for our first date. He was a gentleman and such a hunk!!!! Looking back, I'm glad I was patient. Ryan was worth the wait. God brought us together exactly how He designed. Ryan and I cannot wait to see where this love story takes us as husband and wife.
Ryan texted me one Thursday afternoon to see what I had going on the rest of the day. He asked if I wanted to stop by one of his cabins since he needed to do some work before taking me to dinner. He owns three cabins in Hocking Hills, and I would often go help him clean, decorate, or simply hang out there. Therefore, there was nothing odd about his request. We got to the cabin and he said that he wanted to get some new pictures to post on his airbnb site. He even set up a tripod and asked if I could get in the frame to be sure his aim was accurate. The blonde in me still did not think anything was suspicious. It was not until Ryan was walking toward me holding flowers that I realized this could be "the moment" I had dreamed of. Then, he got down on one knee and started to share his heart with me. I am pretty certain I temporarily blacked out, and could not remember a thing he said. Thank goodness he had it all recorded. Ryan truly surprised me with a very special proposal.
