What to expect:

We will be holding a small ceremony to say our vows. We know everyone wants to join but we are trying to keep this as intimate as possible. Please be understanding if you or a plus one did not receive an additional invite. We look forward to celebrating with you after at our cocktail hour / reception. All of our guests will begin to arrive before the reception. Grab a drink before the celebration begins promptly at 6:00. Please arrive promptly or you will miss the introductions.

How will I know I am invited to the ceremony ?

If you are invited to the ceremony it will appear on our website as an event option and request you RSVP. For couples you may have to RSVP separately from your date if they are unable to be invited to the ceremony!

Reception Only?

Answer

We will be married in small private ceremony with immediate family and friends by invitation only, prior to the reception. The Wedding Reception celebration will not include a formal ceremony. Come ready to drink, dance, eat, and celebrate!

What to expect at the reception:

We are having a Nigerian wedding reception. We welcome you to celebrate with us. The bride and groom will be wearing traditional Nigerian attire. Nigerian wedding receptions are known for being vibrant, lively, colorful, and deeply cultural celebrations. They are often lavish events with a strong emphasis on family, tradition, and community. If you’re attending or planning one, here’s what you can generally expect: -family entrance -groom entrance -bride entrance -prayer -bride and groom first dance -Guests may “spray” (shower) the couple with money while they dance—symbolizing support and celebration.

Transportation

We will be offering multiple rounds of bus transportation to the venue from Tru by Hilton Denver. If you miss this transportation you will need to drive so please be prompt! Parking is available at the venue. No cars can be left overnight! Please review the transportation schedule on our travel page.

Will the wedding be outside?

Our ceremony will be outside and the venue has a covered outdoor area for games !

Please RSVP by February 2nd,2026 at the latest. You may view our RSVP tab on this website to find your invitation and reply.

Can I bring a date?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP

Dress code?

Our guests will be wearing a mix of traditional Nigerian style attire and cocktail hour attire! •    Colorful attire: Guests often wear traditional outfits (like aso ebi, a coordinated fabric/style among a group of guests) and head ties (gele for women).     •    Glamour: Expect elaborate fashion—bold colors, embroidery, sequins, and high fashion.

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! Our after party will be located at Columbia Kettle Works it is right beside the wedding venue. The reservation begins at 10pm so if you want to continue to party with us feel free to walk over. Please make sure to not take any drinks from the venue as they are very strict about no outside alcohol. It will be a pay as you go bar but we will be providing some late night snacks. Transportation will also be provided to return to the hotel.
