On April 25, 2017, at exactly 2:37 p.m., while walking to choir and woodshop together, Cayden asked Isabelle to be his girlfriend. It’s a moment forever etched in their hearts, a day that marked the beginning of everything. Soon after, Cayden met Isabelle’s parents for the first time in their flooded home after Hurricane Harvey jumping right in to help, as he always does. Isabelle’s first meeting with Cayden’s family was equally memorable: at Riverfest, where she introduced herself to his parents and grandparents before immediately joining a conga line that “was calling her name.” To this day, those first encounters perfectly reflect who they are. Over the past nine years, Cayden and Isabelle haven’t just grown up they’ve grown together. Through every challenge and every celebration, their love has only deepened. There is something truly special about sharing life with your best friend: celebrating achievements, weathering storms, and holding on to each other through every season. Then, on April 4th, another unforgettable moment arrived. On a beautiful beach in Galveston, right after joking about a very fat seagull, Cayden got down on one knee and asked Isabelle to marry him, surrounded by family and friends.
