The first time I saw Jason was the start of second semester for my master's program & Jason's senior year. Despite both of us having grown up in Midland, being part of the Broad business college at MSU, having mutual friends & interning in Nashville during the same summer our paths had never crossed before. My master's program was fairly small, a little under 100 people total, so by second semester everyone was very familiar with each other. So when classes started up again after break and people began filing in for Financial Reporting Decisions ACC 808, when Jason Regier walked in - about everyone else knew he was either a transfer, or had to be in the wrong class. After strategically seating myself close to him (just in case he did happen to be a transfer) the realization hit him, and he stood up, announcing to the room that he was in fact in the wrong class and walked out. Fast forward one week to Dublin Irish Square, half-off Wednesday. Our quickly moving life circles that had been evolving in such close proximity to each other, finally formally intersected. Standing in a big group of mutual friends, I told my friend Katie Ivan about the cute guy that walked in the wrong class. She immediately proceeded to go up to him and introduce herself. After a minute of small talk she pulled me over, introduced me and then walked away. *Cheers to Katie* We chatted for a couple minutes, introduced ourselves and then I walked away to talk to some other people. A little bit later, one of our mutual friends, Jamal Jassar came up to me and told me that his friend wanted to buy me a beer *Cheers to Jamal*… I accepted and it led to me giving him my phone number, agreeing to a date that Saturday & him promising to crash another one of my accounting classes later that week.
