November 15th was the day when Mark was inspired to download Coffee Meets Bagel, a dating app that Meghan was just about to delete. She decided to give it one more go (and for Mark, it was love at first swipe). Meghan arrived ten minutes early to the first date, and Mark entered the scene perfectly on time. Little did she know that Mark lived right above the restaurant. They didn't want to leave, and eventually the bartender kindly reminded them that it was time to close. And so ended the most perfect first date that started the rest of their lives together.
Mark made the biggest decision of his life in March 2020, when he picked out the perfect diamond one day before the world shut down. And so began his VERY patient wait for the jewelry store to reopen. Stuck in quarantine, Mark faked a dentist appointment so he could pick up the ring. Meghan, itching to get out of the house, had suggested a weekend trip to Newport a few weeks later. The first night of their trip, they strolled along the Cliff Walk. Meghan, per usual, suggested taking selfies and Mark, surprisingly, not only agreed but also continued to pause every few feet looking for the "just right shot." He found a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, set up his iPhone camera's self-timer and got down on one knee. After repeatedly asking, "What are you doing?", Meghan finally said "YES!" We can't wait to celebrate our dream come true with each of you. See you in November!
