For those who can make the trip, we can't wait to celebrate together at our destination wedding. However, we understand that not everyone can join us, and we want you to know that we don't expect you to travel! We'll be having a celebration at home in Pittsburgh in August, and we look forward to celebrating with all of you then!
We chose Crested Butte for our wedding because we wanted a small, intimate celebration in the mountains. This charming destination is known for its small-town living, outdoor activities, and stunning natural beauty. Plus, it's the wildflower capital of Colorado, making it the perfect backdrop for our special day.
The closest airport is Gunnison airport, Crested Butte is a 30 min drive from there.
Crested Butte offers a variety of outdoor activities during the summer, including hiking, biking, fishing, and exploring the town's unique character. The area is known for its wildflowers, especially in late June and July, and there are numerous trails for all skill levels. Check out our Things to Do page for more information.
Yes we have listed out some hotels in the area on our travel page, but we also recommend checking out VRBO/Airbnb for more rental ideas. Crested Butte is known for it's small town mountain vibe, but another option would be to stay in Gunnison which is about a 30 min. drive from CB. :)
Yes! The town of Crested Butte has a free shuttle service. The Mountain Wedding Garden is located approximately one mile north of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort base area. Guests can utilize the free Mountain Express shuttle from the base area to reach the venue. The venue is situated in the town of Mt. Crested Butte, which is about 10 minutes from downtown Crested Butte, and is easily accessible from the Mountain Express stops. If you desire private transportation, you can also contact services like Alpine Express or Dolly's Mountain Shuttle. For more information visit: https://www.mtnexp.org/schedules-routes/summer/
Invitations will be sent out, but the Pittsburgh celebration will TBD!
