It's finally happening!

Way back when, Sam was a nursing student and had a patient she needed to send from the hospital to the nursing home when Justin the EMT arrived in the ambulance to pick up the patient (the patient was confused and punched Sam in the stomach but loved Justin)! A year of college friendship passed and Sam moved down to metro Detroit and we lost touch. A few years later Justin was in paramedic school in Flint when Sam also started paramedic school and we re-kindled our friendship studying and catching up until something more blossomed.

Justin knew how much Sam loved Mackinac Island from her many years of Girl Scouts, so in 2018 during Lilac Festival he planned a trip. We stayed overnight on the island, Sam gave him the grand Girl Scout tour of the Fort, and he brought her to her favorite place on the island, Anne's Tablet, a secluded scenic overlook of the town, harbor, and bridge. With just us two, he asked and she said yes.
