We’re Getting Married!

Chris and Erin had their first date on August 30th, 2018. They decided to go out for sushi. Erin was running late, per usual, and was nervous and flustered. Chris was the perfect gentleman, waiting patiently for her. They enjoyed sushi, some drinks and effortless conversation. What only felt like minutes of time together turned into hours and they closed the restaurant down. At the end of the night Chris surprised Erin with a present. Prior to their first date, Chris had traveled to Monterey for work and in her attempt to be flirty and cute Erin suggested he bring her back a sea otter. At the conclusion of their date together, Chris surprised Erin with a sea otter stuffed animal that he had brought back from Monterey, and the rest is history.

After months of planning on the down low, Chris surprised Erin with a proposal on Christmas morning. Once all the gifts were unwrapped from under the tree, Chris said “wait...there’s one more!” With a confused look on her face, Erin unwrapped this last gift to reveal a locked wooden jewelry box with a note that read “The key to this box is guarded by the ferocious beast.” The key to the box was tied to Indi’s collar, Chris and Erin’s Golden Retriever puppy. Erin was able to wrangle Indi to allow her to free the key from her collar, and with the key in hand, she unlocked the jewelry box to find what was waiting inside. The box was filled to the brim with red confetti and under the confetti was a beautiful crystal ornament that said “Merry Christmas” with a personalized inscription on the bottom with those four magic words... “Will You Marry Me?” Erin instantly began to break down with tears of joy and through the crying screamed out "Are you serious?!?!" She soon realized Chris has gotten down on one knee with a little red box in his hand and opened it up to reveal the ring of her dreams. During all this Chris stumbled over his words asking Erin “Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?” To this date, Erin does not remember the exact words that were said because she was too overwhelmed with excitement at that moment. After a few moments of being together in the moment, Erin asked Chris “I said yes right?!” This was a Christmas we both will never forget.
