Through mutual friends attending a birthday party in the middle of May. I (Haley) only knew a handful of people and felt so out of place. Despite how loud my voice is, I'm actually a bit of an introvert and Samuel popped up out of nowhere and forced me to talk to him. As much as I tried to shake him off, we ended up stepping away from the birthday party to sit on a pontoon boat and bounced stories back and forth for at least 2 hours under a sky full of stars and by the end of it all, I told Samuel we'd probably never talk again and I left without sharing anything more than my first name. But I'll admit, I couldn't get him out of my head and finally caved.. Two days later I used my detective skills and found out his last name and in no time, we were talking nonstop. That same day, he showed up to my house for our first "date" with 3 bouquets of flowers because he couldn't decide which ones to get and we ate snacks from Food City and played with sparklers and talked all night.. Still to this day Samuel surprises me with flowers all the time. There's only been about a week since we met that I haven't had fresh flowers in the vase. I've never met another human I feel as connected with as Samuel and I are. It is something out of a movie and being with him feels like the most adventurous trip that never ends ♥
