"The First Encounter" 08.04.17. Our story begins in Manila, Philippines during a Christian Missions Conference. At the time we were in two different churches and in different places spiritually, but God knew exactly what he was doing. We met at the Shangri La hotel on a Friday afternoon. "The First Date" 03.23.19. About 18 months later, we went on a date during my quick visit to Los Angeles, California. At the time we bonded over sushi and board games with Taylor’s brother and soon to be sister-in-law. "The Second Date" 04.22.19. Our story continues one month later in Seattle, Washington. At the time we were still living in different cities, but Taylor came to visit Seattle’s Women’s Day. We endeared ourselves to one another on a boat cruise to Bainbridge Island, a memorable prayer at the pier, and some incredible Thai food on the water. "Ignited By IGNITE" 07.05.19. – 07.16.19. Our story continues two months later in Los Angeles, California again. Here we served as Christian Teen Ministry mentors and we were able to work together for the first time. God answered many prayers during this life-changing retreat. "The Dating Journey Begins" 08.25.19. Our dating journey begins in Los Angeles, California. That momentous day was historic for our family. I had just moved to Los Angeles 14 days prior. That Sunday I received my Bachelor’s from the International College of Christian Ministries and my dear sister, Nayomie, celebrated her wedding in London! To top it off, Danny truly garnered love by asking Taylor to be his girlfriend after eating dinner on the beach at the golden hour. She said “Yes!” "The Ministry Move" 12.17.19. Our story continues with a roadtrip across the country to a new place in our relationship — Chicago, Illinois. At that time we both were united with our Midwest family roots for Christmas. Led by the Spirit, we served God on the Northside of the Chicago Church and continue to do so to this day.

“First Step Towards Forever” 01.03.21. After a year and four months of dating, and much love garnered between us, I had been waiting in faithful anticipation for this day. On a brisk Chicago night, we stepped out onto the downtown streets with our best friends, Theo & Summer. Dressed as nice as possible in 20 degree weather, we all headed to the Bean to have a mini photoshoot. Little did I know, many of our family members and closest friends were already gathered together in the cold, ready to surprise me. On a perfect little balcony, facing out to the downtown skyline, rested a heart, shaped by rose petals and candles. Danny pulled out our special journal – the very same journal we used to write to each other during our dating relationship. After reading from it and sharing his heart, he got down on one knee and asked that magical question. Of course, I had been waiting for a while to say "Yes!" The moment was made even more special by the surprise of those in the crowd: my older siblings: Tyra, Jay, and Alicia, and many friends and mentors that have been there since our day one!! We are so grateful for the consistent support in our engagement and preparation for our marriage!
