What time does the ceremony begin?

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.

What time does the reception begin?

Answer

Cocktail hour will be held on the fifth floor of the Detroit Foundation Hotel, starting at 5:30 PM. Following cocktail hour, dinner and dancing will begin at 6:30 PM.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we aren’t requesting a specific dress code, cocktail attire is preferred.

Where do we park for the ceremony?

Answer

Directly behind Sweetest Heart of Mary, there is a gated parking lot that will allow for easy access to the church.

Reception parking

Answer

There will be complimentary valet parking for all wedding guests not staying the night on Friday, October 1, 2021. Simply pull up to the front of the Detroit Foundation Hotel and their staff will ensure your car is parked and secured for the evening.

Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Transportation will be offered to all guests staying the evening of October 1, 2021. Shuttle will arrive at 3:00 P.M. and depart from the main lobby drive of the Detroit Foundation Hotel to the ceremony location by 3:20 P.M. Guests are welcome to take the shuttle back to the hotel before the start of cocktail hour.

Check-in/out of hotel

Answer

The hotel will do its very best to accommodate early check-ins. We strongly recommend you contact the hotel prior to your arrival to ensure they can accommodate your desired check-in time. All hotel rooms should be ready no later than, 3:00 P.M. Check out is Saturday, 10.02.21 at noon.
