Things To Do

Restaurants

If you're looking for a dinner option on Friday evening before the Welcome Party, Cibo Trattoria, Mozelle's, Betty on Burke, Fourth Street Filling Station and 1703 Restaurant are some of our favorites! For morning bites on Saturday or Sunday, stop at Camino Bakery for a ginger molasses cookie or Krankies for biscuits! Bagel Station is another go-to with two locations in Winston-Salem. Virginia recommends the sausage, egg and cheese on a cheddar bagel. The Cobblestone Farmer's Market is also open on Saturday's from 8:30-12. Some of our favorite lunch spots in Winston include Yamas, West End Cafe and Bagel Station (Henry recommends the turkey sandwich on a cheddar bagel).

Drinks

Winston has several great breweries and places to grab a drink! Our favorite spots for a beer include Wise Man (we always recommend trying the Tropical Shirts sour), Joymongers (Henry loves the Kolsch here), Incendiary and Fiddlin Fish. When going for a cocktail, our go-to stop is Joyner's but we also love Vintage Sofa Bar and Little Pep is a great wine bar as well!

Reynolda Village

There are plenty of things to do within Reynolda Village! Our favorites include Dough-Joe's for doughnuts and coffee, Theordore's for sandwiches, or walking through the Reynolda Gardens.

Old Salem

A National Historic Landmark and historic district in Winston with restored and reconstructed buildings that tells the story of the settling of Salem by the Moravian community in 1766.
