We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
You'll want to be comfortable and of course, colorful! All styles go - most women will wear lenghas (skirt, top, dupatta set) you can also opt for a maxi dress or tunic with leggings. Men- Most men will wear Kurta Pajama sets, but you could also wear linen or khaki suit- always colorful!
Most importantly, this is a fusion wedding- so wear what your culture wears! We'd love to see you in your kilts :) Here are some more helpful tips: Women: "Cocktail Attire" is preferred. If you'd like to get a Traditional Indian outfit, we recommend a lehenga, a formal anarkali or a sari - all of which you can find online. Please avoid black, white and red- the bride will be in silver. Men: Suits are fine (and yes, you can wear black, unlike the ladies!) If you'd like to wear traditional Indian attire during the Ceremony, you'll want to wear an outfit called a Kurta or Sherwani. Kurtas will be pulled on over your head, and a Sherwani buttons up like a jacket. You'll want to select a size that matches the typical suit jacket size you wear. The groom will be in silver.
After the ceremony, there are a couple of hours to give you time to change, freshen up, or grab a quick bite. Formal wear is requested for the reception, the more colorful the better! (Black is OK for the reception, but please avoid full gold outfit - reserved for the bride)
