Are Credit Cards accepted in Albania

Answer

Short answer yes; however cash is king in Albania and throughout the Balkans. Credit cards will most likely be accepted for fine dining and hotels/tours, but less likely for markets etc. Best places to exchange are either the airport or a local bank.

What is the best form of transport in Albania?

Unfortunately Albania's public transportation system leaves much to be desired. Taxis and driving are the most reliable forms of transit. Be warned that driving around is not for the weak! (Boston experience does help however)
