Transit Around Tahoe

TART Connect https://tahoetruckeetransit.com/tart-connect/ We highly recommend you download the TART Connect app! TART Connect is a free, on-demand shuttle serving the North and West shores of Tahoe between 6:30am and midnight. It works just like Uber or Lyft, except it's free. Wait time can vary, so leave a little extra time just in case. TART Bus https://tahoetruckeetransit.com/ Everything is basically on one road going around the Lake, so the TART bus is also a great and affordable option. Tahoe Trail Bike Path There's an amazing bike path around most of the Lake, including the stretch from Tahoe City to the West Shore Cafe and down to Tahoma. Walking, biking and running are great ways to get around. There are lots of bike rental shops, including West Shore Sports and Olympic Bike Shop. Uber & Lyft These exist in Tahoe, but can be limited in number and on the pricier side, so they may not the most reliable option. Car Rentals The closest car rental facilities are at the Truckee Airport (there aren't any commercial flights in or out of this airport) and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
