Neil was a physical therapy student where Catlyn had recently started her first job as an RN. Neither one were per say looking for a relationship because lets be honest, they were both busy pursuing their careers. They don't know who noticed who first but Neil says that Catlyn had caught his eye from soon after starting his clinicals there. Catlyn on the other hand remembers the day she first noticed this guy with a burly beard and captivating green eyes who with his clinical instructor, rudely interrupted Catlyn while she was passing morning meds to the patient in room 201. She was annoyed to say the least but couldn't help think how attractive he was even with his beard and awful brown scrubs. Catlyn did what any sensible millenial would do and looked him up on Facebook! She requested to be his "friend" and he accepted so obviously this was the start of something. The next day, a Friday, Neil had wrote his phone number on a piece of paper and stuck it in his pocket with all intentions on giving it to Catlyn but she had the day off! He decided to message her on Facebook, got her number and the rest is history!

Little to Catlyn's knowledge, the big moment had been planned for weeks. Neil had it all planned out, he would take Catlyn to the notorious Austin Trail of Lights and pop the big question in front of the Zilker tree. He had never been so he didn't know exactly what to expect but was determined to make it romantic and memorable. Neil figured Catlyn would not suspect this to be the night since they were accompanied by another couple. They enjoyed the crisp air as they strolled through the park admiring all of the beautiful Christmas lights and displays. Near the end of the night, they found the perfect spot to take a picture in front of the Zilker tree. Posing for the picture as the other couple snapped pictures, Neil turned to Catlyn, got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. She said said yes! As she shed tears of joy, they embraced each other knowing that they would have a life time of happiness together.
