Call/e-mail Catie! 484-798-5716 or CatieGregWed2019@gmail.com The following websites are my go-to sources for planning a vacation: Flights: Google Flights is my favorite - you can set alerts for price drops and predictions, figure out what airport has the best deals for both departing and arriving destinations, has a calendar for price comparisons, and does a cost breakdown for all the flights from the selected airport the the specific destination. Hotels: TripAdvisor for sure! It is a great website to get an idea of where you would like to stay and compares multiple travel websites like Expedia, Orbits, Hotels.com, etc. In Europe, it is sometimes cheaper to buy on the specific website. Activities: Viator (partner site of TripAdvisor) or the city's local website for ideas.
YES!!! Please be sure that the expiration date on your USA passport expires 6 months AFTER you return from Europe. Applying & renewing of a passport can be made through tthe State Department website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
Google (and numerous articles) recommend purchasing tickets 160 days prior when flying into Europe! Don't be shy of budget airlines!! Greg and I planned an impromptu wedding planning trip in November because I found a 40% off coupon with WOWAirlines.
Say "Hello" "Please" "Thank you" in French!: You will get excellent service with a smile and an attempt to speak in French! Download an app on the plane and use those 5 hours to learn the basics! Always get a bottle of wine with dinner! It is sooo cheap compared to the States! Nothing is better than a crisp cold glass of wine after touring around all day! Dinner is supposed to be a relaxing experience and lasts a good while - enjoy it! But, when you are ready to leave and want the check, you need to ask for it! "l'addition s'il vous plaît" Buy tickets in advance - many tourists visit France in the summer; nothing is worse than waiting in line to buy a ticket to go on a tour! Buying in advance and online usually saves a few dollars as well!
