We're Getting Hitched!

We met through mutual friends during our freshman year at Hempfield High School in 2009. After becoming close friends, a year later Connor asked Catie to the Mountville Fair and won her over through icecream and carnival prizes. Six months later, a 5-foot-tall stuffed animal bear ended up on her porch and the rest is history (with the bear still ever present in her parent's basement).

On Christmas Eve in 2018, Connor came over to exchange gifts at the Stengel's house. Mrs. Stengel exclaimed that her lasagna noodles had broken, and Connor and Catie immediately had to go to Weis Supermarket to get new ones (clever story line by Mom!). Catie insisted on finishing the newly released Ellen DeGeneres Netflix special, "Relatable", before leaving. Little did she know, Connor had a photographer hiding at the proposal spot for the next 25 minutes in 30 degrees weather (s/o Audrey Ventura!!).... when Catie finally decided to get out of her pajamas to head to Weis, Connor convinced her to side track to the local park where they had met many years before. Among red & white balloons tied to the swing set, Connor dropped to one knee and popped the question (while Catie cried hysterically)! We are so excited for the next chapter in our lives and can't wait to celebrate with all of our family & friends. Meet ya in Lanc folks!
