Question

How do I get to Glynwood and the Cold Spring area?

Answer

We recommend driving to the Cold Spring / Hudson Valley area to the extent you are able, as this will give you flexibility if you are staying within our hotel blocks nearby in Fishkill (which is not a walkable town) to explore the area and surrounding attractions. However, if you are not able to drive, we recommend traveling by train from Grand Central Station in New York City. The Metro North will take you from Grand Central to the Cold Spring or Beacon stations in about 1.5 hours - you can then arrange for taxi service or utilize rideshare (i.e., Uber / Lyft) to get from either station to the hotels in Fishkill or to Glynwood. We are excited to welcome our out-of-town guests from beyond the tri-state area as well! While the closest airports to Cold Spring are the Westchester County (HPN) and New York Stewart International (SWF) airports, it is likely easiest to find / arrange flights to and from your origin airport and larger tri-state airports (i.e., JFK, LGA and Newark) and then arrange for transportation once you are in the NY metropolitan area. We recommend JFK and LGA to avoid the extra travel from across the river in New Jersey. If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly!

Question

Where should I stay during the weekend?

Answer

We have reserved four discounted room blocks nearby in Fishkill (SpringHill Suites, Hampton Inn, Courtyard and the Hilton Garden Inn), which we have listed in our "Travel and Lodging" section for your booking convenience. We strongly encourage guests who plan to stay through the weekend to book their stay as soon as possible to lock in the best rates and ensure that we are able to provide shuttle service from Fishkill to and from Glynwood for our events.

Question

Will there be transportation provided to and from the wedding events?

Answer

Yes, we will provide transportation / shuttle service to and from Glynwood and the respective hotel blocks in Fishkill for our festivities. If you are staying in alternative lodgings / separately from the reserved hotels, we recommend driving to and from Glynwood or arranging for drop off to and from the Fishkill hotels so that you are able to still get picked up by the shuttles to and from the venue. For those who will be driving, please give us a heads up so that we can make parking arrangements with the team at Glynwood. Of note, all of our wedding weekend events will be hosted across various outdoor / tented locations on Glynwood's property.

Question

Can I bring a guest or plus one?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to headcount and space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are formally / individually named on our save-the-date and invitation suite. We appreciate your understanding, and please know that your presence truly means the world to us.

Question

Are children invited to the weekend?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to allow all guests to be able to relax, party and enjoy themselves, we are only able to accommodate children who have been specifically named on our invitation.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 10th so that we may finalize all the details for the big day. You can RSVP directly online via the RSVP tab. Of note, our reserved hotel blocks also have cut-off dates starting in mid-August as well, and we encourage you to book your stay as soon as you are able to triage your attendance!

Question

What should I wear / what is the recommended attire?

Answer

We've outlined the preferred attire and provided guidance for each event of the weekend under the "Schedule of Events" tab - the respective dress codes for each day is cocktail / boathouse formal attire for Welcome Drinks, black tie for Wedding Day and brunch chic / daytime formal for Farewell Brunch. Please refer to this tab for more specific theme / color recommendations. Since our events are scattered across Glynwood at various outdoor locations, we recommend heels that are walkable (e.g., block heels) for women as there are grassy areas and festivities lakeside.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions / allergies?

Answer

We love our guests and it is our priority to make sure that we accommodate for your dietary needs / allergies - please denote this as you RSVP for the weekend so that we have advanced notice and are able to let our vendor team know well ahead of time!
