On Hinge, we almost missed each other with Cat thinking Zach was too young, and Zach thinking Cat lived too far in the suburbs. Luckily, Cat found Zach in the discovery section and after a witty response to having coffee on the patio in the winter, we hit it off. We met up for first date on January 5. Our second date sealed the deal when Zach was drifting in a parking lot, both laughing about wet jeans from sitting on a ice throne while exploring ice castles that we decided we were the perfect match.

We planned a week-long trip to Washington to explore Olympic National Park and Seattle. We settled into our cabin in Port Angeles and were enjoying a bonfire on the deck, star gazing, and listening to the waves when Zach got down on one knee and asked Cat to marry him.
