Shannon Airport
We recommend flying into Shannon Airport, as it is only 15 minutes from Dromoland Castle and 25 minutes from Ennis. There are direct flights from NYC, Boston, and Chicago for those traveling from the US. Note: Renting a car is not required. You may rent a car from Shannon Airport if you plan on doing more exploring, but there are also taxis available at the airport that can take you to your accommodations and transportation will be provided to all wedding events. So if driving in Ireland sounds stressful, then no worries. Many cities fly direct in and out of Dublin. From Dublin, you can get to the west coast of Ireland via car rental (2.5 hour drive), train, or bus.
