We got married in a small, socially-distanced ceremony on May 28, 2021, and are having a larger celebration for May 28, 2022 where we can celebrate safely with everyone. One of Cat's best friends from law school had talked to Sam's sister, Hannah, about setting us up on a blind date. Cat's friend took her out to dinner and suggested the idea of setting her up with this really great guy. Although Cat was not thrilled about going on a blind date, she figured she had nothing to lose. Hannah gave Sam Cat's number. Three months later, Sam texted Cat and asked Cat out (he was as excited to go on a blind date as Cat was). Sam seemed really sweet over text, so Cat agreed. Sam took Cat to Belair Cantina, because he had heard that Cat loved chips and salsa. As soon as we met, Cat was struck by how easy it was to talk to Sam and how genuinely kind he was, and Sam felt the same about Cat. The rest is history. Sam proposed at Olbrich Gardens, which is where we had our second date and first official date as a couple. Our wedding date is the anniversary of the day we met.
