We're getting Married

When Catherine's friend struck up a conversation with a stranger in an attempt to find a single man for her friend, there was no warning that it was the beginning of something far more unexpected than a simple introduction. Ryan was blissfully unaware that a simple chat with a stranger on a golf tour would change his life forever, and that fate was already at play. With her expert matchmaking skills, Catherine's friend managed to convince them both to go on a group blind date. A weekend away with friends… or so Catherine thought. What was disguised as a friendship getaway to Hogsback turned into a moment Catherine would never forget. Catherine and Ryan, feeling full of energy, decided to start their weekend with a Parkrun while they "waiting for the other couple to arrive". After working up a Parkrun sweat followed by breakfast, they headed out for a short walk to the famous 39 Steps waterfall. Approaching the cascading waters, a nervous Ryan could barely string a basic sentence together starting to ask strange questions like; “Is the noise coming from this waterfall?”. Was he losing his mind? Catherine's mind started to race with hints of suspicion but tried to brush it off as she didn’t want to get her hopes up - but the way Ryan was acting made the signs hard to ignore. Still, she continued walking up the path to the base of the waterfall, enjoying the serenity of the moment. Following the contours of the waterfall, Catherine couldn’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty of the rushing water. Then, before she could even fully take it all in, Ryan dropped down on one knee. Catherine’s heart skipped a million beats and before he could even finish his question, her excitement got the better of her, the tears started pouring, and the words “Yes! Yes!” filled the air, cementing the beginning of their forever after. The weekend away, which had started as a simple getaway, turned into the most unforgettable adventure of all.
