Matron of Honor
Martha was Catherine's "big sister" in Sigma Kappa Sorority, and to this day you will hardly ever hear them reference each other as anything other than "Big" and "Little". And in truth, Martha has been nothing short of the perfect pseudo big sister to Catherine during their adult lives. She is also the mother of the ring-bearer and lets Catherine live out her dreams of being the cool aunt.
Best Man
Owen is Riley's younger brother and best friend. Owen is living in Reno until his brother can finally convince him to move to the Pacific Northwest. Fun Fact: Owen shares a birthday with Shaquille O'Neal.
Bridesmaid
Madi and Catherine became friends thanks to Craiglist (not in THAT section... weirdo). During a semi-desperate roommate search, Madi and Catherine ended up living in the same house during their graduate degrees, during which they went from total strangers to best friends who stayed up all night watching the Great British Baking Show (and going to the Downward Dog too many nights a week...).
Groomsman
James and Riley met at their first job outside of college at an engineering firm. James had one more year of experience and took Riley under his wing in getting him oriented. James and Riley became friends and applied at Intel together. Only James got a job offer.
Bridesmaid
Marjan and Catherine worked in the same research lab during their Master's degrees and quickly bonded over their shared love for (or, rather, mutual fear of) antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Their friendship has blossomed even in distance and they frequently attempt to recruit each other to work at the same company again.
Groomsman
Riley met Neema through Jonathan Pham and moved in with the two of the senior year of college. Neema is known for making it to Raising Canes or Inn N Out 2 minutes before they close. Neema lives in the Seattle area but has never come down for a Blazers game.
Bridesmaid
Catherine and Morgan went through sorority recruitment together their first week of college and both joined Sigma Kappa Sorority. Their friendship blossomed through the most formative years of their adult lives and has included activities such as house dances, crying at the end of physics midterms, cross-country road trips, and many late nights (studying and other completely responsible decisions).
Groomsman
Jonathan was Riley's assigned roommate during freshman year in the dorms. They quickly became great friends and took all of their lower level engineering courses together. Jonathan and Riley moved in again together senior year of college. Jonathan currently lives in Los Angeles and is getting his PhD in Brain Engineering at USC.
Bridesmaid
Keema was Catherine's "little sister" in Sigma Kappa Sorority, and (you guessed it) to this day you will hardly ever hear them reference each other as anything other than "Big" and "Little". Keema is the bright energy and laughter that lights up any room and she and Catherine used to end up on so many spontaneous adventures, including renting pickle ball equipment at the OSU rec center and making absolute fools of themselves trying to learn to play.
Groomsman
Riley and Mitchell met in graduate school and joined the same research lab together. There they worked on two parts of the same project and never broke any equipment ever. Riley and Mitchell spent many Sunday mornings hungover at Taqueria Alonzo in Corvallis.
Bridesman
Alec and Catherine, despite attending rival universities, met freshman year of college and became instant friends. Frequently referring to each other as "soul friends", their friendship has lasted across distances from a few miles to a few continents.
Groomswoman
Riley and Hannah met in graduate school at Oregon State University where Hannah was Riley's TA. Riley then joined the same research group as Hannah and got to know her by asking the same questions over and over again.
Ring Bearer
Ells is Riley's favorite tiny human. The bride and groom are honored that he agreed to be a part of their special day (with the promise of snacks at the end of the aisle, of course). His favorite memory (in this case, Riley's favorite): Watching the seals and otters at the zoo with Riley and making the best commentary (i.e., "doggy!!").
