We met using a dating app called Bumble, to be specific. We swiped right at the right time since the only way we could possibly match was while we were close enough (5-mile radius) at work in Nassau County. Fast forward five days of non-stop chatter surrounding Game of Thrones, Marvel, Star Wars, Food, and our mutual hate for online dating apps, which then lead to our first date at Prime Steak House in Huntington Harbor. To quote the great John Hammond: "Spare no expense" haha. The first thing we said to each other was, "you're real!". We shared our first kiss by the docks and the spark was ignited. The flame continues to grow and every day is a blessing to be a part of each other's lives and we continue to learn from each other day by day.
With loved ones around us on Christmas Eve and wrapping paper being torn off gifts, a rather large box was present in the room. Within that box were smaller boxes, similar to the stackable Russian Doll toys. On first opening, a new bag and then a new wallet. Fast forward a handful of gifts and something from our favorite show, Grey's Anatomy was opened. In a frame was a post-it that read: "Love each other even when we hate each other no running Take care when old senile and smelly. And it's forever." She could not get through it! Our family's very close friend Bob had to read it haha. At that point, it was time to get down on one knee and ask the woman I love to marry me. She immediately said "Yes!". We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
