A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... at your local Auburn T.J.Maxx. Catherine had been working there for over a year, Nathan just started. While standing next to each other at the registers, Catherine thought he was a little awkward, Nathan doesn't really remember his first impression of her. While putting away clothing returns, Nathan felt a little weird hanging up the women's intimates and his face turned red. Catherine called him cute, which he pretended to hate. From there they became friendly and eventually, once Catherine decided to find a different career, Nathan asked her out. It was an awkward 4 hour coffee date, but they learned that they were both nerdy and had a major love for Star Wars. The rest is history.
In December 2022, we went on a trip to NYC. We pretty much knew after a year of dating that we would get married someday. When Nathan first suggested us going to NYC for the holidays, I had a strong feeling he was going to propose, but still had some doubts that it would happen. The second day of our trip, after I went to get new pointe shoes, we walked over to Lincoln Center, where the opera, symphony, and ballet all perform. We were going to see The Nutcracker that night and wanted to know where to go. It was chilly and Nathan was shivering, I thought he was cold so I suggested we start walking. Suddenly, while walking down the steps he stopped me, grabbed my hands, then got down on one knee. Turns out the shivers were from nerves. I said yes, and we celebrated with pizza, book stores, and going to the ballet that night. It was perfect.
