Catherine and Morgan met in 2021 - During Catherine's senior year at ECU. From their very date at Christy’s Euro Pub, they both knew they had found something special. At the time, Morgan was stationed at Fort Bragg, but he made the drive to Greenville almost every weekend. They made so many memories together - over beers at Pitt Street Brewery, house parties on South Summit Street, and sharing their many common interests and hobbies. Morgan invited Catherine on a New Years Eve trip to Asheville. They spent the holiday weekend laughing, building friendships, and falling on skis slopes and for each other. On New Year’s Day, Morgan asked Catherine to be his girlfriend. That summer and the seasons that followed brought so many adventures: Their first trip together, spontaneous camping weekends, running and working out, and getting to know each others family and friends. Somewhere along the way, they knew they were each other’s person. Best friends, biggest supporters, partners in every sense. As the years passed - They experienced distance, changes, and challenges which brought them closer and proved they could handle anything and chase any dream as long as they had each other. When Morgan’s career in the Army took him out of state and then abroad, their relationship shifted into long-distance. It wasn’t always easy, but they learned to love each other in new, deeper ways - to stay close across oceans and time zones, and to keep cheering each other on, even from afar. In March 2025, they took a road trip across Colorado and into Utah - one last adventure before Morgan shipped out to South Korea for nine months. They camped under the stars and hiked before sunrise in Arches National Park. While hiking the Devil's Garden Trail, at Double O Arch, Morgan got down on one knee and asked Catherine to marry him. Through tears (the happy kind), Catherine said yes. Now, they're planning a life together - starting with a wedding in North Carolina on Saturday, November 7th, 2026. They couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people they love most.
