It's tough being an adult in the dating world! In a way that's becoming increasingly more common, Mitch and Catherine met through the app "Hinge." Catherine was ready to delete it when she checked her matches one more time and saw a simple but intentional message from Mitch. After texting for a couple of weeks, they had their first date at Ranch Night Wednesday at Waterside, LWR. What was planned to be a simple food truck date turned into a 3 hour date to end with a walk around the lake. That's where their love for exploring breweries together began.

A whirlwind of a week with Catherine being down and out with the flu left Mitch stressing about his months long plan to propose on February 8, 2025. The Thursday before, Mitch approached Catherine with the idea of a date night on Saturday to a new restaurant for them at one of their favorite places and the site of their first date, Waterside. To this day they joke about how lucky it was that Catherine ended up sick. His fear was she was going to suggest a different date idea but Catherine says she was still so out of it that she didn't care what they did. Not to mention, she was so bored being home from work all week that she painted her nails. Win for Mitch! They both got ready and headed down to Waterside early for their reservation. Mitch steered Catherine towards a new area they had not explored, right on the water. After a few minutes of random conversation, Mitch spun Catherine around and got down on one knee. From behind, the restaurant erupted into applause. When Catherine turned around, she was greeted by her immediate family and Mitch's immediate family. The night ended with a nice dinner to celebrate with the ones closest to them! It was a truly unforgettable moment.
