Smith Berry Barn
It will be peak strawberry season. Catherine worked here for a summer. They have delicious milkshakes, excellent coffee, and a beautiful space to berry pick. Also, a really cute store with lots of good home and kitchen essentials. Great place to pick up an Oregon staple--marionberry jam!
The South Store Cafe
Fresh local ingredient sandwiches, scratch made pastries, and great coffee. Lisa and Catherine love the south store club. Catherine's mom recommends the apple turnovers and Catherine recommends the jam scones. Open Tuesday-Friday 9am-2pm Sat-Sun 9am-3pm
Babica Hen Cafe
One of Lisa and Catherine's favorite brunch spots. We recommend the french toast sticks. On weekends expect a bit of a wait.
Nikki Sushi & Steak
This is where it all started. Lisa and Catherine's first date. Great sushi at a good price.
Tin Shed Garden Cafe
Catherine's favorite is the Everything Nice. Lisa loves the hot sauce and homemade jam. Our favorite brunch spot in Portland. Dog friendly :) Also, while you wait stroll down to Citizen Ruth we love finding fun stuff in there.
Portland Saturday Market
A collection of hundreds of vendors with local handmade items, food, and other goods. Really fun to just walk around. Many of the art pieces in Catherine and Lisa's home comes from Saturday market. Check out the rolling rings tent.
The Porch at Laurel
Really good brunch and coffee. Check instagram for hours.
BGs Food Cartel
Lots of tasty options and what is more Portland than checking out some food carts? Lisa loves the smash burgers. There is a nice bar as well.
Woodburn Premium Outlets
The biggest outlet mall in Oregon. A bit of a drive approximately 30-45 minutes from Portland but worth it for the deals. Plus no sales tax!
