Fishing
Deschutes River, Crooked River, Metolius River, tons of mountain lakes all with great fishing access. It's a bit of a drive but the Metolius is one of our favorite rivers even to just walk along with great trails and beautiful water! Reminder to get your OR licence if planning on fishing!
River park walk along the Deschutes in Bend
Easy access by downtown, wonderful place to grab a coffee nearby and go on a walk
Shevlin Park
Walk along Tumalo creek or choose your own adventure on miles of trails through its old-growth forest and high desert sage-covered lands
Deschutes River, Bend Whitewater Park
Great river spot to paddleboard, kayak, or tube float. Tumalo Creek Kayak and canoe is a good spot to rent and put-in.
Deschutes River South Canyon Trail
Easy 3 mile hike along river in town, access from farewell bend park at 1000 SW Reed Market Rd
Pilot Butte State Park
Hike or drive to the top
Smith Rock State Park
In Terrebonne 30 miles north - beautiful scenery, trails to hike, well known for rock climbing, and has the Crooked River right there available to fish too!
Downtown Bend
Lively downtown full of unique shops, art, eateries
Old Mill District
Area of shops, eateries, and Hayden Homes Ampitheater for various sources of entertainment, concerns
