KC has been begging me for years to check a cow for pregnancy which involves sticking your arm in unmentionable places, but it’s part of the cattle business so someone has to do it! Shortly before July 26th, KC and I struck up a deal; if he ate five pieces of sushi I would allow him to teach me how to check a cow for pregnancy. Well, KC followed through with his end of the deal so he began thinking creatively and partnering with family and friends on how he could make this a proposal no one would soon forget! The cow pregnancy check main event was scheduled for 4pm on July 26th. I arrive and KC along with family and friends are all gathered around. KC was dressed in a nice, collared shirt which I found odd considering we were about to participate in an activity that would be something showcased on the TV show, “Dirty Jobs”. Any who....My turn comes up and KC demonstrates how to perform the pregnancy check. Little did I know, he was implanting the ring box for me to find (don’t worry, the ring box was well wrapped). I slipped on the plastic arm sleeve and proceeded to mimic what KC showed me. He instructed me to feel for something hard and to remove it. I went in, but could not find the hard object as I was focused on finding a football shaped object. So I say “I can not find it”. KC’s and Troy’s faces go white thinking the ring is lost. So KC goes back in, but it is not lost. He tells me to try one more time and scoop the hard “obstruction” out of the way. I scoop the hard obstruction out of the way and as it falls out I almost vomit and kick it to the side. KC tells me “can you grab that?” and I straight up say “NO!”. So I kick it to him and I turn back around to try again. While I was turned abound, KC grabbed the ring box and unwrapped it out of its protected covering and got down on one knee. He asked me to turn around and I don’t remember everything that was said in his proposal due to sheer shock, but I knew exactly how to respond with an astounding “YES!”
