How do I get to Ios?

The Greek Island of Ios can only be reached by ferry from the following ports: 1. Santorini (recommended) - 35m trip on fastest route; operates multiple times a day from the port in Santorini. Please be sure to allow extra time for travel from the port to Santorini Airport, as congestion and limited taxi service may result in delays. 2. Athens - 4h 15m hour voyage on fastest route; operates multiple times a day from the Port of Piraeus and once from Rafina Port closer to Athens International Airport 3. Mykonos - 1h 25m trip on fastest route; operates multiple times a day from the port in Mykonos 4. Naxos - 40m trip on fastest route; operates a morning route to Ios and multiple afternoon ferries from Ios to Naxos on Sunday. Port is conveniently located near Naxos National Airport (JNX) with flights to Athens We highly recommend taking a large vessel type, especially if you are prone to sea sickness. How do I get to Greece
Answer
Take a direct flight to Athens International Airport (ATH) from numerous global hubs. Many of our guests will originate from New York and Los Angeles, which both serve direct flights to Athens. From Athens, you may take a ferry directly to Ios, or you may fly to either Santorini or Mykonos. Another option is to connect through a European city that flies directly to Santorini Airport (JTR) or Mykonos Airport (JMK). The venue recommends the following accommodations: Ios Resort Relaxed option in town center 6 minute walk from Reception Levantes Ios Botique Hotel Elegant option with gorgeous views Overlooks Aegean Sea Ios Palace Hotel and Spa Luxe seaside option Next to Mylopotas Beach Transportation will be provided from the above hotels, to and from the Ceremony and Reception.
